We used to travel all over the Caribbean and try out different rums. Now we have 5 of our own. I must say they are delicious. We have one that is made from all Molasses, one that is a 200 year old recipe, One that tastes kind of like whiskey, One that is a lighter fun flavor, and our newest rum we are calling our Sassy Mermaid Island Time.
SON OF A SAILOR
No this is not named for Jimmy Buffett. Brandan’s dad and grandpa were both sailors, so that makes Brandan a Son of a Sailor. If you ask him about it he is pretty proud of it. This is our oldest Rum, close to 7 years old. It is 86 proof, made with all molasses. If you enjoy good sipping rum this is it. Brandan claims this is very best one he has ever made.
Sassy Mermaid SPICED RUM
This is like no other spiced rum you have ever had. The recipe for this rum is over 200 years old. We were looking for the George Washington whiskey recipe and found this. This puts all other spiced rum to shame. There are many spices in it, some you will recognize and some you might not. They all come together to make a magical drink. We sell a lot of this for the Holidays, it’s almost like Christmas in a cup. This one is 70 Proof
Sassy Mermaid GOLD RUM
This is our take on Gold Rum. It has been aged in a brand new Oak charred barrel. So when you are drinking it you might think it is a light whiskey. It is not, it is all rum. This one is 80 proof and delicious. Makes a really nice pina colada, or sip it alone. We actually have added two more rums to our line up. We have a delicious banana rum and a pina colada rum. Both are easy to drink and delicious.
Sassy Mermaid J Spiced Rum
This is one we are almost out of. More of a traditional rum with a little kick to it. Use it for sippin or making cocktails. Either way it is delicious. 70 Proof on this beautiful rum.
Sassy Mermaid Island Time
We have been having a hard time keeping this one in stock. One taste and you need more. This is a flavor that my brother invented. He kept trying to get me to try it and I kept saying no. We finally tried it and was amazed and you will be too. This is a lower proof rum but it is so good. It will knock your socks off. 40 Proof on this one. We just released another Sassy Mermaid Island Time, this one is also 40 Proof and the flavor is Pina Colada. Pineapple and coconut, add some ice and you got yourself a cocktail. Limited supply available in our tasting room.
PINA COLADA
This is one that you can drink straight out of the bottle. Bring your friends over and have a little day drinking. This one is only 40 proof so you know it is smooth and delicious. You can either drink it straight just the way it is or use it in your pina colada mix. Either way works great. We have a hard time keeping this one in stock also. People also like to give it for gifts for friends and relatives.
BANANA
Banana is our latest flavor. People don’t think they will like it and end up buying a couple of bottles. It has a true banana flavor. You can also mix it and make other great flavors. Me and my sister in law like to put it with our Strawberry moonshine and a little chocolate cream of some kind. It tastes exactly like a banana split.
