When we get to go to a new tasting room it is usually really fun. What makes it not fun is when the guests are out of control, or they are rude and obnoxious. Here is a few things to think about when you go to a tasting.
- If you don’t want to taste just say No thank you. You don’t have to have an excuse.
- If you don’t like what you are tasting be discreet about it, don’t make a scene.
- Remember somebody took the time to make this for you, when you are rude about it, it hurts their feelings.
- Each person should get their own flights, sharing with 5 other people is ridiculous, not to mention really unsantitary.
- Don’t act like you are the know all of something you don’t know anything about, people see through that pretty quickly.
- Don’t assume you won’t like something, so many times people tell me they would never drink moonshine and in the end, they leave with a bottle or a few bottles.
- Don’t assume something is not great just because the place where you are getting it is not that fancy.
- Don’t assume something is not fantastic because it didn’t cost a fortune and your first born.
- Tip the person that is pouring for you. They are working hard to make sure you have a great time.
- Don’t act like you are dying when you take a sip, that goes back to bad manners and is just plain rude.
- There is a lot more but this is a good start, remember what your mamma said, If you can’t say something nice don’t say nothin at all.
- It is ok to add suggestions on what you might think would make it better. That is always welcomed. We want to the best product that we can get.
